Athens Mortgage Resources, Inc. was founded by William A. Jones, Jr. on December 7, 1988 after he retired from his 20 years of service in the United States Air Force. Since its creation, Athens Mortgage has always provided the best and lowest rates & closing costs in the Athens/Oconee area. Along with the best deal in town, Athens Mortgage prides itself by offering exemplary customer service. We try to do everything imaginable to make the mortgage process as hassle free as possible.
In May of 1996 Jonathan Jones started his employment with Athens Mortgage Resources, Inc. Jonathan graduated with a Bachelors degree in Business Marketing from Valdosta State University. Jonathan's first position with his dad's company was that of Mortgage Processor. In 1998 Jonathan's status changed to Mortgage Loan Officer. Jonathan & William A. Jones, Jr. continued to work together until William's retirement in December of 2000. Jonathan is currently the President of Athens Mortgage Resources, Inc.
In May of 2004 Matthew Jones started his employment with Athens Mortgage Resources, Inc. Matthew graduated with a Bachelors degree in Political Science from the University of Georgia. Matthew's current position is Mortgage Loan Processor.
